The term "FR" (Flame Retardant) indicates that the material is flame resistant and meets the UL94 V-0 standard.

What is the difference between standard FR-4 and high Tg FR-4?
Standard FR-4 has a glass transition temperature of approx. 130°C, while high Tg FR-4 with 170–180°C is better suited for high temperatures.
